The high versatility of the Cansolv® SO2 Scrubbing System makes it the technology of choice for separation of SO2 from most gas streams encountered in the chemical industry. Manufacturers of sulfur containing products can use the CANSOLV® SO2 Scrubbing System to produce or purify SO2 feedstock. Incineration of sulfur containing byproducts and waste material can be used to capture and recycle sulfur values, while avoiding the expense of off-site disposal. Off gas from the roasting of sulfur containing materials such as ores of spent catalysts is readily treated to meet environmental requirements.
Chemical manufacturing complexes are frequently large consumers of electricity and steam. Cogeneration using low value sulfurous fuels can reduce energy costs while meeting environmental requirements by treating flue gas with the CANSOLV® Multipollutant Absorption System.
