Cansolv Technologies Incorporated (CTI) was formed in 1997 to commercialize the CANSOLV SO₂ Scrubbing System. On November 30th of 2008, Shell Global Solutions International B.V (SGSI) purchased 100% of the shares of CTI. The company now operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of SGSI.

CTI has maintainted a strong Research and Development program focused on continuously improving the CANSOLV SO₂ process, developing a CO₂ Capture process, and integrating advanced amine purification systems. At this time, thirteen commercial CANSOLV SO₂ Scrubbing Systems are in operation and many more are in the detailed engineering or procurement phase. Numerous CANSOLV CO₂  Capture demonstration units are currently being engineered and are well positioned to serve the evolving greenhouse Gas abatement market. CTI also aims at developing mutlipollutant control technologies, through continued Research & Development and strategic partnerships.

Providing a high value solution to our customers by :

• Customed engineering solutions for optimal integration in the plant.
• Maintaining an efficient and cost-effective supply chain for the critical equipment (gas-liquid contacting device, Amine Purification Unit).
• Offering supply of modularized skid-mounted units, in order to reduce field construction costs.

Pursuing strong R&D efforts:

• To continuously improve our commercial SO₂ and CO₂ absorption processes.
• To develop new multi-pollutant abatement solutions (NOx, Hg, etc.).
